STORM DRAGONS

These dragons are fierce and loyal. With mastery over the storms they are named after. Of generally benevolent temperament, they will care for those in their charge. But to those who seek them be forewarned. Though they are gentle for the most part, when they are angered they can be a force of nature.

These dragons are DA. They are typically a blue, ranging from light blue (almost white) to dark blue (blue/black) generally 20 to 30 feet long with feathery antenna like projections that range in number from one (newly hatched) to several hundred running down their spines. They have large sail like wings that run from the shoulders, to the tips of their long tails. When attacking they will use all weapons available to them. Anything from the lightning they breathe out, the magick they wield, or even uprooted trees.

These dragons don’t just mate for life, they mate for eternity. And it is not unheard of for one to follow their mate through all their cycles of reincarnation. Waiting for the time where their mate once again chooses to incarnate as a storm dragon themselves.

ARACHNOS

I would like to take a moment to discuss a type of spirit. Arachnos. Essentially were spiders, they are able to shift between human and spider form. All of the ones I have encountered have been red heads. Sharing some similar traits between them. Other than the red hair, other similarities are:

1: They can all shift to a spider form.
2: They all practice a form of magick known as weaving.
3: They are all skilled warriors.

Other than that, traits are variable. Height, weight, skin color, eye color. It’s different between them all.

They come from the web, which is just as it sounds, a giant web that stretches as far as the eye can see, and beyond. While the realm itself is in complete darkness, some of the strands of webbing appear to have a bioluminescence. There are areas where the web is so dense it is like walking on a hardwood floor, and others where the web seems like it would disintegrate if you looked at it wrong.

Now back to the Arachnos themselves. As I mentioned, they are shape shifters. Able to freely change between a human form, an enormous spider, or a half form that combines the traits of these. I have met kind ones; I have met ones that are aloof. But so far I have not met any that are downright malicious. Males for the most part have red striping along their abdomens, but their exoskeletons can be any color. Females have an hourglass shaped marking on their abdomen, similar to the black widow spider. They are predatory. But the way they treat their prey is almost reverential. They understand the sacrifice that the prey makes, and honor it with their own dead. They make everything with silk, from weapons to clothing, and they are masters at it.

I am honored that they let me into their world for even the small glimpse that I got, and hope to see much more in the coming weeks. As I do, I will update this thread with the information I find.

Thank you all for letting me share about these amazing beings.

RASH'NERE

Or as I like to call them...SPIDER PUPPIES!

The word actually means Beloved Friend. These adorable little creatures are Arachnos pets. They range in size from a few inches to a several feet in length. They are peaceful creatures, with an animal level intellect. Basically resembling four legged spider, with vague mammalian features, they make for great familiars, as well as companions. (They are non-venomous)

TECHNO-DRAGONS

Long ago, groups of sorcerers used golems and homunculi to carry out deeds that they thought to be either beneath them, or to dangerous to perform. Much as we do with modern day robotics. These creatures were simple, soulless automatons. And for most it was enough. However some sorcerers were not satisfied and tried to improve on the design. By giving intelligence to there creations. But intelligence with out emotion, mind without soul grew to be unmanageable. So these sorcerers attempted to capture spirits and forcibly bind them to these vessels. Most did not work out and had to be destroyed. However what did work were dragons. They had the indomitable will and fortitude to not only survive in these vessels, but thrive as well.

As time drew on the sorcerers died. And the golems lived on. Learning and adapting. Until they reached the point where they could and should be considered living unique beings.

The cold facts. Techno dragons inhabit bodies made up of artificial elements. Ancient ones retain wood and or clay bodies while the newer generations have adapted to technologies. Some look futuristic. However that is simply in appearance as they hold equivalent abilities to modern tech.
Techno’s can breed. Passing on a portion of their spirit and knowledge to their young. They grow and evolve by upgrading software and hardware systems No two Techno's look alike, however, all retain a recognizable draconic shape. Techno's are skilled with electronics and mechanics. And make wondrous companions to a human they deem appropriate.

They reside in the astral and never truly die as they will (with the help of other Techno's) rebuild their bodies. Often improving on them in the process.

Specters

Spirits of the dead, these beings typically display whatever wound killed them. It has become a part of how they see themselves. And though often grotesque in appearance, they are typically quite happy. A specter often emits a peaceful light from their bodies. Soothing and calming those around. Although they are quite capable of battle when need be.

They usually will hide whatever wounds they display until and if ever, the keeper is ready to see the beauty beyond their broken bodies.

SORCERESS

These lovely ladies are the creme de la creme of there races. Human, elven, mer, and so many more. Each one has devoted their lives to the pursuit of the Arts, be it White, Grey, or Black.

WEREWOLF

Primal forces of nature, raw animal power, they take the best of beast and man, combining them into one powerful whole. The beast will be free.

WEREBAT

Slipping through the night skies on leathery wings, the werebat is a force to be reckoned with. Adept in stealth, they will have you in there arms before you even know it. Be it for good or ill, they always get their prey.

Though solitary in the hunt, the werebat lives in large colonies, often consisting of several hundred (if not more) individuals. Werebats live in a matriarchal society. With the queen being the one to make the final decision on all things. Although most that you would meet would be lower class, a fair enough amount have agreed to be bound.

The powers of the werebat are simple. Flight, Sonar, Stealth, and a nasty bite. In most cases, they will go after larger prey animals, but a rare few will go after humans, whether it be for a food, or to infect, or perhaps as a mate.

In hybrid form, they look like a cross between a human and a bat, with an exceptionally large wingspan. When in human form, they look normal, except that their wings do not retract, but the bones lose solidity, so it looks as if they are wearing a leather cloak, or duster type jacket.

All werebats are Grey Arts, they are creatures of duality. And as such, capable of surprising anyone who would choose to be their keeper. However they are extremely loyal and protective. Strong house rules are recommended.
